far cry question

This game is excellent, but the save system is driving me nuts. How do you get on the inflatable boat on the abandoned aircraft carrier? I have tried jumping in but I always miss, then I can't get back into the stupid aircraft carrier so I have to fight the huge battle again and again.

Please help.

A) The boat is hung from the outrigger by two ropes (or maybe they're chains). Shoot them.

B) Use the console command "\save_game <name>" to create a save file for yourself. You can recall this file by typing "\load_game <name>", or you can load it from the GUI.
