Palestinian Militants Kill Alleged Israeli 'Collaborator' in West Bank Refugee Camp

JENIN, West Bank — Five gunmen on Sunday shot and killed an alleged "collaborator" in front of hundreds of people in a public square in the West Bank refugee camp of Jenin, accusing him of giving information to Israeli authorities, witnesses said.

The gunmen, who identified themselves as members of the violent Islamic Jihad group, accused the victim of helping Israel killed two militants last week in a targeted attack, said witnesses and Islamic Jihad members.

Sunday's killing came in response to an Israeli helicopter attack on the homes of the two militants last Wednesday, said an Islamic Jihad official.

The victim was identified as Bassem Malah, 22, who worked in the Israeli Arab town of Umm al Fahm. He was due to be married next week.

Islamic Jihad said he also worked for the Israeli security services.

About 500 people were in the square when the unmasked gunmen fired into Malah's chest. Some were chanting "Allahu Akhbar," or God is Great, and anti-Israel slogans, witnesses said.

After the killing, some bystanders put shoes on the head of the corpse, as a sign of disgrace, they said.

There are people whom support the palestinians when they are run by people like this , for people like this. *notice the part where the government has no comment. I wonder where the proof was that he alerted the Israelis. If anything I think this is just a object lesson and reminder to keep their people in check. I love a government of terrorists for terrorists and by terrorists.

It's all gone to hell. THe sad thing is, that I'm not being pessimistic here. Going into Gaza to do NGO work is quite literally taking your life into your hands. The West Bank is devolving even more quickly. Mob "justice" has been the rule of the day since the PLO took over and has only gotten worse. All of the Arab Christians I know and quite a few of the Muslims who live under Hamas' rule would very much like for Israel to take over again.

when isreal left the west bank, or gaza, I dont know, sometime earlier this year(wasn't it?), there was a cartoon in our large local paper of a dove holding an olive branch in it's mouth flying away from west bank/gaza (it had isreal written on the bird) and then there was a 'terrorist' holding a rocket launcher in his hands walking in and a rocket being fired from it (had palestien written on his turban).

For days, alot of the arabs in the detroit area wrote in talking crap about how it's unfair to stereo type palestinians, how the paper is only spreading the false image's, ect......... Then it wasn't even the next day when reports of terrorist's firing rockets into the still israeli occupied area came in, rockets fired from the newly given up land...................

Not one arab wrote in to say ANYTHING to the paper. One of the regualr columnist's had his entire article about that. The paper did not recieve one single "user comment" about the incident all that week.

The next week a jewish businessman wrote in saying the madness has to stop, made a slight comment about no arab writting in about the event, then the paper got swamped by arab "user comments"(for the lack of a better word) saying how bad the jews are, how this is all thier fault.......................

Just made me go "Hmmmmmmm" as I had read those things in the paper........

It just goes to show how biased, hypocritical and blind to reality they are. This is the main reason why you hear many say that they only understand devastating force.
