I think he's guilty, but I have no idea what the jury will think. Past juries have found Robert Blake and O.J. Simpson innocent when they were obviously guilty. Celebrities seem to get away with murder (among other things).

The jury is staring at the judge......
That usually mean guilty.

Maybe those screeming freaks supporting Michael can come on down to south florida. There are some pedophiles here that need support.

OMG! The jurors want to be left in peace and the judge is going to try and convince them to talk to the press even after they told the judge no way.

Just remember folks, according to precedent and our legal system, you too can molest little boys and ply them with alcohol and illegal child porn and get away with it... if you are rich and famous. Yay america.

God I hope the lone gunman makes a reappearance.

I thought he was innocent of the charges... not of being a weird freak.

Good for him.

I think his history proves that he is more then capable of doing this (and probable). I think the problem was how the prosecution handle the case. Living in Socal I got a play by play account of the trial. Most people agreed that the case should have been handled in a better way (such as not including the total unproven conspiracy part). Too bad another rich celebrity walks free...

From a post in the NS forums:

"In all seriousness, the case was lacking enough real evidence. You can't convict someone just because of popular opinion. While I think that he needs to resolve alot of personal issues, I'm still not convinced of his guilt. It's all too easy to call an adult that is unable to deal with other adults and actively interacts on a peer level with children, a pedophile."

I agree with it 100%.

Good. There wasn't any evidence of it.

In other words, they pimped out their own children for financial gain, i.e. greed. Nice message to send to your kids, ain't it?

Anyway, I'm not surprised by the verdict cuz I rather expected it. I dunno what went on cuz I wasn't there and if there isn't enough absolutely hard evidence against him then he should've walked, but if he was actually guilty then yes, he definitely should've found so and appropriately punished for it.

Of course, if he were forcably castrated, well, it wouldn't affect his voice any, would it? graemlins/av_cheesygrin.gif

Well

I believe the ruling was right. You see in this country we believe you are innocent until proven guilty beyond a reason of doubt. The justice system worked. It really came down to MJ's word vs the kid. After the kid admitted to lying about several things and the weird mother I did not believe him and neither did the jury. The defense did its job, the prosecution faultered.

Other than that MJ looks like he is on his deathbed. It would not surprise me if it comes out that he is dying of something.

Chip

For those that think he is innocent... how many of you would allow your child to sleep in bed with Michael Jackson?

You know if it was a normal every day person the jury would have come back guilty.

We do know he puts children in danger. Jeez I mean he dangled his son off a balcony. That alone should be enough to atleast take his children away.

Mr No Name

I thought he lost custody to the rightful mother of his children when this case came up ? I thought she was worried about the safety and well being of her children and had them removed from his home.

Then again... how many parent's allow their children to sleep in THEIR bed?

The accuser's parents are at fault, not MJ.

IMO, MJ is very child-like in some aspects (ie, he still likes to think he is a child or he thinks he's Peter Pan). From his POV, nothing is wrong with what he is doing -being a child, having slumber parties, etc. I am not condoning his actions (he does need help); however, the accuser's parents saw this as yet another opportunity to take advantage of this sick, sick person.

What he now needs to do is to shut Neverland's doors to ALL children so that this never happens again.

Finally, to quote one of the jurors: "What kind of parent allows their child to sleep in the same bed as MJ?

The jury did right... only in that they had to follow the law and do their job. The prosecution and investigators hosed this up big time... it's very apparent and massive effort by MJ and his cronnies was undertaken to displace and hide his activities all along... the prosecutor chose the wrong victim (a family who is known to be con artist and with a checkered past, easy target for any defense) and once that choice was made did a poor job of managing the victims image. Many of the interviewed jurors have said that they know MJ is wrong and believe he most likely has done stuff, but they held to the letter of the law and their legal duties and found him not guilty because of a shody attempt by the prosecution.

The thing about pedophiles is they usually prey on broken families. They also have a high repeat rate. I pitty his next victom. Because of this trashing in the news media and by the Jackson camp any future victoms may not come forward.

OmegaBob

Actually, wasnt MJ trashed just as much as the accuser's family... even more?

kyleh
06-14-2005, 03:14 PM
He's still being trashed. I have yet to read a news story about the acquital that isn't written as if he were guilty and let free on a technicality. Forget what the actual jury thought, forget deliberations, forget evidence, Jacko is Wacko! We don't take kindly to that 'round these parts.

P.S. I still hate the media.

Any 40+yo, who sleeps w/ children, then has legal problems because of it, then sleeps w/ MORE children is MF'ing MORE than just "weird". F' this "oh it's just popular opinion, he's just special" BS can suck it... no, it is not popular opinion, no it is not about popularity, no he is MFing NOT being subject to cruel measures "just because he's different" graemlins/av_whatever.gif av_mad.gif ... my only response to that nonsense is "STFU". Nononono... I'M "weird"... he's a friggin' man w/ an addiction.

I think he preys on families wacky enough to:

a) let their child sleep w/ him.

b) not be a threat in court, because they're so messed up.

Seems to work out great for him.

Again... MAYBE I could accept him being just "weird", but when you have HUGE legal issues because of your nutball sleepovers, get out of trouble, and then go and do it AGAIN!?! That's beyond weird... that's a sick man... c'mon... wake up.

I heard he's building a Neverland Ranch elsewhere now, somewhere more accepting of geezers fiddling about with pre-teen boys.

If he doesn't get killed in the next few years by the people that accuse him, then I'll believe he is not guilty. I would have made him moonwalk in front of a firing squad, IF sufficient evidence and believable witnesses were brought forth, I'm not sure if this happened or not.
