Legal music download sites suck

Is there not a site where you can D/L $0.99, 320 kbps MP3 tracks without a subscription, goofy license tethers or funky file formats? Or should I go back to Kazaa?

There are a number of sites that offer mp3 downloads from a range of (alternative) artists.

Lucky for you... I dont remember the url to a single one of them.

They operate like this:
- We trust you to not **** up when purchasing music from here, and thus you will get a unrestricted mp3 file that you can use wherever you want.

Rip back the songs you get in ***** formats. You gonna need something like Sony Sound Forge ( graemlins/av_ph34r.gif cheap about $400 i think) or Easy CDDA Extractor about $30 i think. iTunes and Real Player do decent jobs too.
