Margaritas are nice. Never had a Long Island Iced Tea, either, till a few years ago when I was at a Reno casino playing the slots. Sweeter drink than I expected cuz I thought it'd be full of hard tasting liquors and not very palatable, but it wasn't and I liked it.

Amen to the Margaritas, too.

There's a restaurant in my neighborhood called Chili's and they have a Blue Pacific Margarita. The rim of the glass is salted, and the drink is made of Margarita mix, Blue Curacao, Grand Marnier, and Jose Cuervo Gold Tequila. It's THE best drink I've ever had. It's a bit salty, but thats the idea behind it being branded Blue Pacific.

Last night I was struggling to write a paper for a history grad class of mine. I'd been working on it all day, with very little in the way of progress. 9:00pm rolls along, and I decide to stop working on the paper and just call it a night. I decided to just rush the paper tommorow and hope I wake up with some insight I hadn't found all day.

So I start drinking Newcastle Brown Ale. I drink two in short order and grab a third. I start working the bottle opener on it, but for some reason the cap isn't coming off. I work it harder, until the cap violently pops off. "Finally!" I say to myself. "Hmm, that's strange", I think, "the top of the bottle has been broken off." Looking down at my hand, it's dripping the warm red stuff.

To make a long story short, I badly lacerated my right middle finger on the broken bottle neck of a Newcastle, spent hours in the emergency waiting room at the hospital, and finally left the hospital at 2am w/ 5 stitches in my finger. This morning I find it very hard to type my paper w/ this obsenely large bandage on my middle finger. Strangley though, that insight materialized after all, and I had no problem thinking about what to write.

If only I hadn't decided to blow off that grad paper...

yeah i was at the morgue today working on an autopsy of a 21 yr old who died last night (his birthday) due to drunk driving which was caused by himself or his friend (who was drunk as well) trying to drive home.

kid was thrown out of the car landed on his arm, then his head then his leg. broke the first two and dislocated the third.

Didn't want to start a new thread for this, but I just did a very cool thing yesterday. After a few beers, I felt as though my room needed a motto, but nothing lame like "home sweet home". I ended up with "That is not dead which can eternal lie, and with strange aeons even death may die.". I have a rough draft of it on my wall, made with a marker to an A4 as I seem to have misplaced my printer. I'm going to print it ona an A4 in the near future, and make the page look aged with some coffee.

It's a habit of typing school from many ages ago to correct all typing mistakes while typing. See there. No typos. Not even capitalization mistakes. Good habits are hard to break even when totally drunk.

I spent the last few days drinking my own Michelada mix! One of the few Mexico habits that I actually like! That will be enough alcohol to last me a few months.
